How I crawled to success with WordPress (true facts).

Hey there!

I want to share a little story about me. How I started the to join the blogging commmunity. I will be taking about some challenges that I faced in the begining as well.

WordAds is an advertising platform for WordPress sites. When I created my first blog, I thought I had ventured in to something so so difficult because it was my very first site. I never knew what to do with the available editing tools on my site. I was given access to only a few tools at a time and thought that at some point, I would delete and forget of it which I eventually did. I had no regrets deleting it because I had not invested any money for it neither did I add any content because you know, I was totally a beginner. All this happened in the year 2016. I lost hope but didn’t give up yet.

In the year 2017-March, I decided to give it a nother trial, created a new site on a different platform that blew away my mind. This time, I had a unique experience on my WordPress website which is why I want to talk about it here.

When you create a website on WordPress, you have four price plans to choose from. There is a free personal(Basic plan), premum, Business and e-commerce plans The Free plan is number one on the list and this is what I dwelt on with my site for about a year. Throughout this period, I was busy learning how to blog meanwhile trying to create some good posts. It sounded unreal but also real some times. I began to go deeper in to learning how the whole WordPress systems works. That’s where I learnt about the other plans that I had left out. In fact with the free plan on WordPress, I was only making fan and wasn’t so serious about blogging but here is what made me to stand on my feet with much determination. ‘ The wordAds together with it’s features.’

As a beginner, I really had little belief that I would make money from a blog so, one day I decided to ask google ‘how do people earn from blogs?‘ From what I read on Google’s first result, I was able to know that blogs are paid for hosting adverts and campaigns of companies and payment is according to pay per click(PPC) which is the commonest method of payment for blogs.

It was high time I began to think of buying a domain name for my site, and get it hosted. That was a huge budget for me when looked at some hosting prices from other web hosts. When compared with the WordPress plans, I found it affordable to pay for both a domain and hosting on WordPress. It had simplified everything but I didn’t know. I never knew that WordPress had reduced domain and hosting costs for their clients. I upgraded to the basic plan which came with no plugins. Now to be sure of what I am talking about, let’s take a quick review of these plans below for WordPress site.

These plans are for blogs and personal sites and that’s a category where I belong.
CREAT A PERSONAL BLOG

As you can see the first plan (personal) is the cheapest with a small amount of $4 per month with a discount which is best for personal use. I began from here. But because of the objective that I had that was; earning from adds, this plan could not make me money for ads as it didn’t have any plugin that I could use in order to earn. The premium plan was my next option- $8 per month but there is a discount. I added just a few bucks to top up my initial payment on the personal plan and here I am. I came to discover new features in this plan though some were also in personal plan there were some additions. This plan works best for Freelancers and bloggers.

My experience with WordAds

Now as I mentioned earlier on, the personal plan doesn’t come with jetpack software options. Premium comes with already installed jetpack.

Install jetpack to you website

Now jetpack is a software which manages everything happening in your site, protects it from scam and manages the plugins instalation. WordPress premium plan comes with the jetpack system installed for you. You can add other plugins like Yoast SEO, Woocommerce and Google analytics for WordPress but these can only be applied in the business and e-commerce plans.

The Business and e-commerce plans are for small and big businesses respectively.
Buy a plan now

But both of the three plans above use word Ads to generate income. However, jetpack users are required to be on a premium plan($8/month – $99/year) to use WordAds. This plan is the very affordable no other website sells hosting services at such a low price. Get started with Woocommerce plugin monetize your website easily.

I will be talking in detail, the WordAds platform and how it actually works, in my next post.

Ranking your affiliate site with SEO experience.

SEO is an abbreviation meaning, Search Engine Optimization. Has anyone ever told you this before? May be yes! maybe no! I am also not sure but what I know is, you have ever heard this word ‘SEO’ being mentioned somewhere maybe in a piece of writing or as just spoken.

The (motherboard) to all those heavily trafficked websites in the world is this animal called SEO. I don’t know whether there is another in Mars I haven’t researched about it lately.

So, let me ask;-Have you ever thought of your affiliate website being ranked by search engines? If yes, how do you want it done? Could it be through automated ads?

Not a bad idea either but you would spend much because for how long will you be running ads for your site? It could even get you into trouble when you used feck advertising companions who only drive artificial traffic instead of organic traffic.

Here is the thing-you can grow and get your web ranked by search engines using some other technique-SEO

Understanding search engines (SE), how they work and what to do with them.

Search engines are also called web search engines or web crowlers. They are softwares designed to search or crawl the web to gather information ie web pages.

The examples of search engines below will help us understand better what they are; Google, Yandex, Bing, Baidu and Yahoo. There are quite a number of (SE) types and they all do one thing that is;- ranking websites.

Let’s see how search engines work- When a website is ranked, it means increased traffic for it. Just like a book has pages, websites also contain pages and the information in those pages is what search engines crawl for.

So, when search engines find a page from your website, it will be stored together with its content for indexing, sent to web servers that make it available to web browsers like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox etc.

When it’s indexed, it will then be displayed in searches for people to find your information. Indexing may not be automatic if your website isn’t having quality content.

Search engines index web pages through short phrases known as keywords.   Without these, it may take you years to get ranked by Google, Bing or any other search engine. Keywords are phrases or words that searchers enter into search engines to find your pages.

Now you have known the secret of keywords so what next? Apply the use of keywords on your website.

First, to begin using keywords, you have to research your competitors whose content is related to yours. Find out what keywords they are using on their sites.

This is where we will get to know the ranked keywords and low unranked keywords. It is important to have both high and low keywords on your website and I will tell you why?

Take for instance, you have just build a new website or have one that has existed for many years and has been using keywords but has not been ranked yet by any of the search engines, it could be because the keywords used are improper for it or the key words are highly ranked.

When ranked keywords are used in your website, your website will be directly competing with ranked site using the same keyword.

Highly ranking keywords have many results to show when searched in search engines. The screen below show an example of a highly ranked keyword

Now, the reason why your website will not be ranked is; those highly ranked websites have used that particular keyword before and their pages are ranked with that keyword so it is difficult for the engines to replace those sites with yours which does not have more of the keyword content.

It So, before you choose to use a certain keyword, you should always measure it’s ranking in such a way that if it has a few results of about 5000 or below, you may use it with no doubt.

Using ranked keywords alone may let your website to be buried down by ranked websites because they will all be using the same phrase/ keyword.

Low-keywords are more recommended because they are unique to the search engines this means high chances of being indexed which will result in good ranking but they may also take some time.

It is advisable to use both high and low keywords to be sure of consistency. Your site will be in an intermediate state of ranking which is not bad. An example of a low keyword is shown belIt ow.

You will also have to carry out thorough research for keywords that you will be using in your website time after time. Keywords can be ranked for many years as long as your website is active. At least twenty(20) keywords per post make a reasonable keyword usage.

What is the best platform to build an affiliate marketing site

Yes, what is the best platform or CMS system to build an affiliate website?

A website is a foundation for every business model and Is a must-have for all. Similarly, someone looking to do affiliate marketing also needs a strong but firm foundation- an affiliate marketing website to be able to stand out from a sea affiliate marketers.

If one is not very sure about what type of website they want for their business, it’s going to be hard for them to even start one. And you really need to have one if you are looking to do serious marketing services like affiliate marketing itself.

To build an affiliate website is just as you can build any other type of website but the difference is the features you will add to it in order to make it run affilliate programs. And speaking about what platform to build it on, it is quite rare to find the best one yet let me explain this.

You see, there are many content management systems out there that have stood for years and have helped and hosted thousands of websites and micro websites as well. Their potential and ability to manage the huge number of websites relies on the number of websites being established every single day.

Today, because such systems are advanced in technology and how they run their services is much easier than it used to be. For this reason, many people are able to create their own websites using these systems without having to code. I never knew how to code until I learnt it a few months ago. I even had no idea what it meant am happy that I joined WP and got to know all of it.

However, even though there is such a new technology and because many people have got to like it, other nonpotential Content Management Systems (CMS) have emerged. They claim to help their customers create their own websites using HTML and provide hosting as well.

The truth is that such content systems are subsidiaries of main ones like WordPress and Bluehost and honestly, they can’t provide everything you need on your website, especially your affiliate marketing website. I mean they have limited working tools to enable you to completely run your website.

I love WordPress because of its rich features and simplicity of use. This is not answering the question asked in the title above but I am breaking this down to the final answer.

First, if you really want to build a perfect affiliate website, you must understand what it should look like before creating one. Building an affiliate site is different from creating an affiliate site. The two terms, create and build are different and therefore, bring us to explain this further.

When you create a website, it means you are following a few simple automated steps to do so. It could be with the help of a software or a web developer in another location. This is what happens with many CMS today you need not know about HTML or PHP. PHP is a new language that most content systems use in order to automate website creation and WordPress is one of them.

And when you build a website, it means you start it from the very first step which is creating a local environment on your computer for your site to live in. It is only you who can see and access it until it is published to the public. This requires you to have some knowledge about coding in web development and I guess that is the very right way to build an affiliate site.

Looking at different platforms that offer web hosting services, WordPress is so far the best in all aspects because they have almost every tool that you need on your site. The only challenge is how much you have to pay to get hosted by the platform. Also, it won’t be the best for affiliate marketing if you do not know how to set up an affiliate website.

How do I choose the right platform to build my affiliate site?

Look! Building an affiliate website is just as easy as building an online store is. The good and bad side of it is that you can either succeed in it or waste your time but if you take into account that you want to learn and earn online through affiliate marketing, you will surely make it.

When choosing a platform to build an affiliate site, consider that it has to be one that already offers affiliate marketing services. Affiliate platforms like myealthyaffiliate can work best for you because they offer affiliate marketing training and also provide domain names and hosting for their affiliates.

WA- offers such great services and you can establish an affiliate marketing business with their tools and they help you to study and chat with fellow affiliates. You will never lack guidance on how to make it through affiliate marketing. For this matter, I recommend mywealthyaffiliate.com as the best to build an affiliate site.

However, if I have knowledge about affiliate marketing, I can use WordPress as the simplest way. With WP, I can build my affiliate website with the help of the WP building software or build it on my own. I don’t think there is any other content system richer than WordPress in terms of working tools and credibility. I credit it.

In summary, I can say that both Wealthy Affiliate and WordPress are good places to set up your affiliate marketing website. If you don’t have any knowledge about web development, you can go with WP so, you can get help by using WordPress plugins.

Plugins are a set of building software that automatically organize and run programs for your site automatically and at times, you don’t have to customize the after installation. They are done-for-you projects.

I hope this was of help to you thank you for reading this post.

The reason why you say affiliate marketing is not easy

Why it is not easy to do affiliate marketing

The reason why you say affiliate marketing is difficult is because of the high level of competition in it. This is truly a common factor that brings down most affiliate marketers. Imagine a group of marketers battling to promote the same product to the same audience at the same time. Many times, it is a battle of uncertainty but you never knew.

Many people talk about it around this statement ‘affiliate marketing is not easy’ but affiliate marketing is ideal, affiliate marketing is rich, it is diverse and can be a very joyous hobby as well but how diverse is it?

I know there is a group of affiliates out there who see it as a hardcore even though they are already in it. I know what it feels like when someone spends 20 hours a day, 140 hours a week, and the worst of it all, a tone of hours in 90 days of every month trying to promote but don’t see any commission in the end. Trust me you can easily withdraw from this of business if you don’t know how to walk it.

Although there some lucky people who get to earn money within the first month of marketing, they may have used some easy technique in order to get the product sold. In other words, they are just lucky but again, I could say;- they must have been popular on a particular social network so, once they have something to share with friends, they are always wanting to check it out.

Being an affiliate marketer is not very easy though. If you don’t have the passion for it, just like a professional job, once you don’t like it, you are most likely to begin to think of moving or finding the next one.

Why are you being defeated by your competitors

There are so many reasons why your affiliate marketing business is not generating more commissions as other affiliate marketers earn but do you know your niche? Knowing your niche helps a lot in scaling the right and correct content for the product that you are promoting.

Choosing a niche is where most marketers get confused. They come across many affiliate programs &products and will want to promote everything they find no! Don’t do that. You have to find a single program/product or service and promote that specific one as a beginner affiliate. You don’t need to rush into marketing many products like a pro because if you do, you won’t be able to focus at the time, become confused.

Not only that but also, you need to be self-driven. If I have the motivation and belief that yeah, I must make $5- $20 today or $100 this week. I will definitely make it as I dream it to happen.

You don’t need to wait to be told that hey! wake up it’s already time to work. You want to link up with other bloggers, write a post or an article, promote a product to make a sale, or create a video post to your social network to engage your targeted audience.

You need to be competent in your field of marketing, network with other affiliate marketers, share ideas, and be willing to learn from the experts. I am that one person who loves to learn and pass the knowledge to another but here, I write from experience based on what has worked for me as an affiliate marketer in the past.

When I started doing affiliate marketing, two years ago, I had no idea what to do. I knew that it’s all about sharing my affiliate links and that’s all. Little did I know, that sharing a link was just a starting point of marketing a product/service how wrong was I!🤔

Sharing your affiliate link is a starting point indeed perhaps, the first thing to do always after obtaining your affiliate link is to share it in any possible way to your social networks. Social media is the simplest platform I could reach to share my affiliate links. At the time of obtaining a link from your network, you notice that before you leave that affiliate marketing programs’ website, you already have social media sharing buttons right on the screen to enable you to share to social media with a click of a button.

When I made my first commission, $18 dollars was enough to buy me a meal and what a joyful day it was! If I can remember very well, it was 24th-september-2017 and I had just promoted a service one of which helped me to move from beginner to intermediate.

Once you come to the affiliate marketing business for the first time, you will probably want to determine where to deliver your first product link and expect someone to click on it, buys the product so you can get paid. That is how it should happen but is it as simple as these words speak?

It might be a tedious job when you are just getting started because, sometimes, I assume that for someone who doesn’t have a competence in learning how to make a commission from that product, it looks as though they are just gaming.

Huh! Now, that should not in anyway discourage you. I mean I am neither claiming to be a super affiliate nor a pro. I am just a writer who earns by writing what helps an affiliate marketer to earn a commission like me.

Even though I don’t earn much from affiliate marketing, at least it is a proven way for thousands of affiliate gurus out there and I have also proven it. Generally, affiliate marketing requires practical innovative techniques. Every affiliate marketer has a unique way of doing it and that’s what determines how much they make from it.

For the very first time of earning through a commission, you notice that you want to apply the same technique that you had used before in order to target another/next commission but at times, that also fails to yield what you aimed at. Never give up. You have to work hard for it.

Expert affiliate marketers who have truly spent years in the game say that you can promote a product/link up to seven times before a customer finally makes a decision to but it. They need that particular product but there is only one problem. They are not paying attention to you may be because your marketing email is not strong enough to call to action.

After seven days’ time, you should make a follow-up. Run another email campaign to remind them that they should really try your product or service. You must not stop reminding them because, every day, people want up to different needs, and who knows, your product could be the one they want next.

I don’t often run email campaigns but they are a very productive aspect of marketing. And you can only do this when you have an email list. Very important to have. If you want to read more about email marketing, I wrote on this on and for more help on how to get an email list for free, tap on this link.

What to put in to practice for a successful affiliate marketing business

  • Find the right affiliate program.

The first step to affiliate marketing is getting the right affiliate program. This is very crucial as it determines the ability to use it. What should the right affiliate network/ program be? It must be that which offers good marketing tools and gives support to its affiliate marketers. The commission value may also determine a good network. If the commission rates ate low, it might not rock your world.

  • Research more on your niche.

The second step after finding an affiliate network is to get to know your niche product. In this step, you will research on your chosen product to find out about your competitors, strategic keywords for that product, and appropriate marketing tools for work.

  • Get to know your competitors.

You must know who your competitors are. In this case, you want to find a solution to the problem of not being able to sell because you are being pressed down. When you want to deal with the enemy, you should probably know their weakness before you do so. In the same way, you should know who is with you in the same niche and see how to challenge them.

  • Decide the simplest way to market products.

Everybody has got a personal choice when it comes to selecting a marketing technique. Hopefully, the most successful one is what I would take. All marketing methods lead to good commissions but it’s only your potential to prove this right. One marketer can decide to go via social media, another through blogging and one other via email. I am sure that you can use all these methods but you have a choice to take.

  • Never give up.

And finally, you’ve got to work hard and never give up. Every planned investment you make will surely yield good results in the future.

Okay! So, now that we are ok with our marketing strategies. I believe you have picked something little from those few points though they were very obvious points to note. I had to consider them too because I am very sure that not everybody who reads this article has ever read about that before.

Want more of my articles-see them here, for now, I am gone. Goodbye!!

How to create a landing page to capture leads for your affiliate marketing niche.

Landing pages are built in a variety of ways depending on what they are meant to do. The best way to go with affiliate marketing is having a subscription list to build an email list and grow your sales using a landing page.

It may not matter whether you have a website or not. You can build your email list using any social media platform but preferrably, G-mail can work too.

Now, there are many tools that one can use to build a lead capture page but we may not look at all of them. if you already have a website, then it is going to be very simple for you to set up one but it might have some limitations. For websites which are not built on WP, I think there is an alternative for you as well. So, let us get started with WordPress.

In the past, it was not possible to create landing pages within WordPress. The users of the (WP) data management system over the past couple of years have been using alternative page builders like MailChip and then integrate into their WordPress sites. This was very technical and time consuming but luckily, today we have got a new WordPress experience. The ability to build landing pages within WordPress itself using the plugins.

Now, this might not sound as good to those who are not on a business or e-commerce hosting plan because only the two plans give you the ability to install plugins. For those who are on a basic or premium hosting, you might use an alternative which I will show you later on after WordPress but before we proceed, let me ask you these;

1. Do you have your website hosted on a WordPress server?

2. Are you on a business or e-commerce hosting plan?

3. Do you run a business plan on your site or on WordPress.org? If the answer is yes for all questions I have asked above, then you can build an optin page/ landing page within WordPress using either the Beaver plugin or Chartflows plugin. To get started, you need to follow the steps below.

  • Install any of the above mentioned plugins.
  • Activate the plugin you have installed
  • Edit plugin settings

Once you are done installing and editing your plugin, you can it will be ready for use. The most amazing fact about the Beaver theme is that it allows you to Crete pages according to the purpose for which you want them. You will never create a wrong page that doesn’t work perhaps, it is a free plugin for WordPress websites.

All the above steps are very simple to follow you only need to use a desktop computer to avoid getting confused by the kind of display a mobile device has got. It’s pretty easier that it used to be.

How you can build a free email list from Google mail

What is an email list and how can I build it?

In the world of marketing, there is always one aspect that every marketer has to put in mind while they market for services or products. One could probably think that to market is the same as to sell but it is not. The game is very clear if I market for a product and I don’t manage to convince somebody to buy it, it will not get sold. It is very obvious. The reason why people market their products is that they want to give it a broader exposure, get it sold so fast and make more sales but they can not do it effectively without an email list.

People search for different content types depending on what they want to learn or get done online. If they pick the interest in what a website offers, they will want to kind of make it easy to remember that site or service in particular. They can do that by either downloading a mobile app for that website or subscribing to it.

Websites often have their home page set as a static page such that, every visitor who comes to the website through its Url, will automatically land into that page. This is the page normally used to build up an email list.

An email list

This is ideally a group of contacts in your mail account. These contacts can be of people who have subscribed to your services like a newsletter, electronic course, or any free offer like an eBook but email contacts can also be generated or imported from external sources.

Building an email list

Email list building requires a lot of manipulative and convincing ideas. So many people take so long to attain a mear list of 500 contacts. Honestly, maybe they follow a very right path to getting their list built naturally but do you know what will kill their ambition? Patience, patience. I can relate this statement with this paragraph below

If everybody was to be tested and given God’s authority to see how they can resonate and judge like God, I bet 95% of the people worldwide would not be patient with sinners.😜 The degree of the patience that you have can determine your future success…..those who are patient will always have time to think and plan about their future.

Usually, when building a list of followers, you have to be patient enough to yield the final results. It can take you a year or years to have one list of 1000 contacts and if you are a digital marketer, 1000 email contacts are not enough.

For you to build an email list naturally, you must use landing pages. A landing page can enable you to have anyone visiting your website, to signup for either a free offer, a service, or as a customer who wants to purchase a product from your local store sales page.

Now, as I earlier mentioned, getting a list of contacts who are ready to have you deliver messages right to their inboxes is a hard long term project. And you can not force people to subscribe to your list if they do not show any interest in it. This allows you to filter the right audience list you ever need.

Allow people to voluntarily give you their email addresses and telephone numbers if need be, as they sign up on your landing page. All in all, having a landing page may need you to invest a few bucks. You will need a domain name for it and also pay for extra services to be able to get all tools to tools.

I know that not everybody would want to pay a penny or much to have landing pages especially me and those without a website. I would prefer to build my email list feely and faster without paying any money. This is very possible and I know you must be wondering how?, Watch the space below.

Using G-mail to get email contacts for free

Google mail is the most popular email service and is widely used worldwide. Notmally, when you send a text message through your G-mail address to another, the recipient’s address is automatically saved as part of your list within Google mail. And every time you want to send a message to that person, in the recipient’s tab, you want to add only the first letter of their address and it will suggest it so you can choose.

Google mail will do this with every new email address that you send to or receive a message from. Under normalz circumstances, you can hardly build your list to average 10,000 contacts unless you have something that people might be interested in.

Now, if you are a G-mail user, I am very sure that you know that it allows you to import contacts from external sources like your own telephone and Google. In the same way, if I want to have tones of email addresses on my list, I can do it in less than ten minutes.

You can import thousands of external contacts into your email account, text with them, and video chat in real-time as a group. Have you ever heard that your personal information can possibly be sold out to anybody anywhere in the world? The answer is ‘yes’.

Nobody would want their information to be sold out to another company but some websites still do that. When you sign up on a particular insecure website, the system will store all the details you give them about your self. This helps system administrators to generate your email address plus your telephone contact. The database can be sold as a whole to another company.

Obviously, when your personal info is sold, it means that you are liable to receive email messages from anybody who gets to know your address. It may not be harmful but it gets you worrying. I mean you will be surprised yo receive an email from a strange address.

Do you still have this question “how?” Wait, I am not trying to confuse you but here is the thing let me explain. If you are an internet, digital or online marketer, you definitely need this email list, and here is how to get it. When another business website purchases people’s personal data, they either resell it after use or give out the lists for free. Here is where you get the opportunity to acquire an email list freely.

With G-mail, you can just import these contacts and add them to your list. Raidforums is a website that shares databases from other websites and when you sign up, you can get a list of your choice to import to your Gmail contacts.

Of course, the lists to be imported should be of your niche. It will look awkward for you to import a list of people who had signed up for a yoga training newsletter for a different niche say, affiliate marketing courses. That will never work for you because it is not the right audience to send email messages.

Conclusion

Finally, as I conclude, list building is not something you can do only once. You will always have to do it for as long as your business lives. The reason why you should do so is you can not tell if all the contacts in your list are active unless they reply back to your messages.

Always aim at expanding your list to as big as it could be. That way, you will be able to replace your lost contacts that may have been deactivated or that have simply blacklisted you from their trusted list.

Also, remember to follow the rules of email marketing so that you will not be considered as a non-Pro. Now, hands-on job. Here is another article on email marketing techniques that you can use as well.

A nice email marketing to you my friend.

Happy Aniversary With WordPress.com!

WordPress Aniversary present

Today is a unique day and it is one of those big days I chose to mark in my calendar as more important and memorable.

Message from the WP team

It is last year, on this day. It has not been a very long journey though but I should celebrate with you this anniversary. Not a decade has passed, not even years but just a year since I created this blog.

I have always written not only because I wanted to, but because it is what we are supposed to be doing at jeoblog.online. If you were a guest blogger here, then you would definitely be the one I am relating to but hey! We are all together in this.

Many times, I have tried to make more time into writing more content in a bid to make my pages fully loaded but I know it requires more that it takes to write a blog post. And that is not far from the idea – working hard huh!

One thing I have learned and we both have to believe is that whenever there are so many projects or tasks for us to accomplish, we need help. Sometimes we want to adopt and implement a mechanism of self-independence. Working and completing your tasks alone sets you to be good at that.

Many writers wish to be given a helping hand when it comes to writing and the challenge I get is; they can hardly find someone in their niche to write as guests otherwise, it is a good idea.

I don’t regret joining WordPress because of the people whom I have met here. I mean you who is reading this. Together, we have been in this for one year and it is just a beginning. And I hope to build a strong and ambitious community on WordPress in the near future.

Happy 1st aniversary to me😋

Affiliate Content Generation For Dummies.

Okay, before we start, I’ll be completely transparent here. I am an online casino affiliate and have been for many years. It’s probably the most profitable niche I’ve tried to date. And the most fun. Thankfully I’ve had the opportunity to meet some of the most skilled people in content generation a man could ever […]

Affiliate Content Generation For Dummies.

Is it possible to do both the two of these;- affiliate marketing and blogging?

Blogging and affiliate marketing at the same time

Is it possible to be an affiliate marketer as well as a blogger?

You probably have an answer right there I suppose. The answer to this question is yes☑️ and now there needs to be an explanation. Now I strongly believe that we all know what affiliate marketing is and we also know what blogging is. In case you have no idea, I can define these two.

Affiliate marketing is a technique of promoting products and services belonging to a certain organisation/business with the aim of earning a commission once a product is bought through your link.

Also, blogging, from the word blog, is referred to as writing bulk content inform of texts, pictures, and videos to pass a message to people through a medium known as a blog/ website.

Examples of blog websites

So, now we see that the two words and very different from each other but we might also want to know the people who get involved in these activities of promoting/marketing and writing content. And the names of these people are actually derived from the same phrases, for example, an affiliate marketer and a blogger.

Ideally, there is a possibility that one can be an affiliate marketer and at the same time a writer/blogger, and here is why.

First, I want you to know that the two ideas are not equal in the normal sense because one is the main topic and the other, a subatomic.

Affiliate marketing can be made a subtopic in a blog website but a blog can not be a subsidiary for affiliate marketing. So, when one starts a blog and begins to write content on it, it is very easy for them to decide what content to publish on their blog. In this case, affiliate marketing may come in.

With a blog, they will be in a position to write all categories of content but of course, they have to be specific on only one or two topics. Affiliate marketing is available in every topic you may choose to write about in your blog. It does not matter whether you are writing to educate, entertain, express your feeling, or to inspire. The affiliate marketing part of it will still be available.

A Picture blog example

Once you have written content for a blog post, you decide to include affiliate links within your content in a professional way, and that way, you are writing and at the same time marketing a product(s).

There is total no problem with doing both affiliate marketing and blogging, in fact, blogging stands as a foundation for you to promote your links because it is where you are most likely to generate traffic. Besides social media, a blog is the first priority always.

I hope I have made it clear to everyone who had the same question in mind.

How to be a good online marketer without spamming people’s email inboxes.

There is a difference between being Poor and being Broke, Broke is temporary, Poor is Eternal” – Robert Kiyosaki

Success in business isn’t about what you do, it’s about who you are and how you think… and bad habits die hard.

Changing how you think can be one of the most challenging things to do but it’s undoubtedly the most important.

One of the biggest lessons I learned when building a network marketing company several years ago was this: “Don’t spend your time with the people that need it, spend your time with the people that deserve it”…

Many of us have a desire to help the people who we think need help the most but the reality is that we can’t help everyone. In fact, we can’t help anyone who isn’t ready to help themselves, and trying to do so isn’t just a waste of our time but it takes time away from the people who deserve it (the people who we can actually help).

If you have ever spent hours of your time to help someone just to have them quit… or worse, do nothing (at least you know where the quitter stands) then you know what I’m talking about. I’m not saying these are bad people, but as Entrepreneurs, they are just not mentally ready to take the next step (and trying to convince them otherwise is a waste of time).

This also applies to the Entrepreneur who wants help from everyone but never invests in their own business.

Or the person who wants to learn how to sell but replies to emails with “stop selling me stuff” instead of just clicking the little “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of every email that is sent. As an avid email marketer, I get a kick out of these emails every time…

And the list goes on…

My point here is this: Respect your time, avoid these groups, and be very selective on how and who you chose to spend your time with.

And while we’re on the subject of respecting your time…

If you’re keen on saving time, be sure to check out the special offer that ends tomorrow night for an entire year of easy whiteboard video creation.

Audience-Toolkit-University

Looking to dominate social media?

Let’s get to some knowledge base on how to generate social media traffic. It’s never been that easy but now, this has made it easier.

Howdy, reader!

Have you ever driven traffic using this powerful tool? The Audience Toolkit is one of my best traffic working tools 🔩 🔧 🔨.

Every single day, I engage my readers and followers on social media-Facebook and they get to smash the like👍 or the unlike👎 buttons on every post I make.

Engage your Facebook audience.

I also get them to comment on my content it could be a picture, text, podcast, a video tutorial, or any other related content. This is how I keep them engaged by publishing different types of content.

And here is where I get to know and understand what my viewers and readers want. One aspect I always consider is getting down to the comments section of each video because viewers can immediately reach out to you by commenting on your video if they do not have any other way to contact you.

I can not tell which part of the world my traffic does come from? All I know is; The Audience Toolkit does its best as everyone else talks about it. Try it for free

If you are looking to target traffic from Facebook, you are not so far away from what you want. I can engage my audience yes I agree but I will also agree to it that with the Audience toolkit, I am able to reach more people not only my followers.

The audience toolkit is commonly known as ‘Simple Social Tools’ this is a name for specific software that is designed to automatically generate social media traffic and increase post engagement.

Five months ago, I purchased access to this software because I wanted to exceed my Facebook friend limit. It surprised me when I woke up to my phone the next morning to see that had over +2000 friends from the initial 2500. It was a crazy moment.

Last year, I used to have a weird manner of bringing viewers to my channel because,

knew it was the right time to target people to view my content.

I chose one of the greatest Youtuber’s channels whom I knew -Brandon Tay, selected one of his videos and decided to target the people who had watched that particular video. In this sense, I knew that I would get some of his traffic without having to compete.

Now, that was just a simple hack I used on YouTube. I later realized that Simple Social tools(Audience toolkit) also has the same only that this one is more advanced with automation. I came to know that it never was a weird manner. I was right to do it that way.

That’s why I introduce to you the Audience Toolkit University

Audience Toolkit University video turtorial.

The Audience Toolkit Univesity is a learning place for users of the software- Simple Social Tools. In case you find any challenge using it,

With this program, you can learn even more ideas on how to use Simple Social Tools to reach even more people. I strongly recommend it.

How I get to promote on social media.

I am kinder buzzy one of these days but at least I spare time to get to write an idea here. So, however much I become so committed, I can never forget to put up something.

If you have to ignoring social media, it is high time you started posting on your accounts. If you haven’t joined any, do so because, you need to connect to your audiences and make your content discoverable.

Now, I am pretty much convinced and you too should be. That in order to generate an income passively online, you need to see these three aspects. The key factors which every online business must observe to leverage the opportunity of having a continuous income flow.

  1. A website
  2. Content
  3. Traffic

These three aspects seriously matter and you can never avoid them. The only option you will have Is to quit if you can not manage these. You need traffic and it can not come without content and also, content can not be without a website huh!

Look! If you are doing affiliate marketing/ making money from home with affiliate marketing, you are one who needs this traffic very much because, for every sale, you will make, there must have been traffic somewhere because you will hardly earn a commission if your traffic level is low.

However, it does not come as much as you would want it. It takes a couple of activities to be done to set up traffic sources especially those which are external. External sources like Facebook, Twiter, YouTube, Tumblr, Pinterest, and Instagram can boost website traffic externally.

All the above sources are social media sites and who does not use social media? It sounds like a toolbox for traffic generation and this is not far from what is real.

When you make the best use of social media sites, building automatically targeted traffic will not be a problem.

Using social media to drive traffic to a website.

You have to produce high-quality content on your website, build both internal and external links to your website to drive outside traffic.

To do this, you will always ensure to proofread and dig back to your old content. Make sure there are no writing typos in your work. Work that is free of typing errors is ideally what ranks on Google so easily with appropriate key phrases.

I can not breathe

‘I can not breathe ‘

‘I can not breathe’

‘I can not breathe’

He finally said it the eleventh time ‘I can not breathe’ and gasped but you never listened to him.

You never listened to his cry because you wanted to silence him.

Medical doctors and nurses came to his rescue, begged you to stop but you did nothing.

You finally took his life that has cost dozens of tears.

We need a change in the way black people are treated. Life is not about black or white in color. It is about loving one another there no need to practice racism.

I thought racism existed those old days because the people of that time were mostly ignorant and never valued life.

It beats my understanding when I see it happening today and I think it feels the same to many. A reason why we see many protestors all over the world.

Racism began in Britain but It is now a norm in the United States of America. You have alternated this name. Maybe we should now call it ‘The Disunited States of America.’

George Floyd’s body is now lying I guess you must be happy seeing his family undergoing pain and distortion.

And from now onwards, somebody is going to grow without a father! Do you realise the impact of what you have done to George Floyd’s family?

You guys deserve to be dead because you don’t value somebody’s life.

Life is so precious and nobody should take anyone’s life for granted. We are all human, created in God’s image and I don’t know where the issue of color comes in to bring about racism.

If you hate black, then stop using this color and let us own it because we are black.

I don’t usually write off-topic posts like this but I do when I feel there is a need to pass this kind of information and express my feeling about something.

As I end the post, I want to say to all racists, you have nowhere to go even if you remained alone in your country. Style up and change your ways.

Killers of George Floyd

Remember you are just humans and don’t have the power to end someone’s life. George is still living only that we can’t not see him.

May his soul rest in peace.

For God and my country.

7 good reasons to pick clickbank if you are looking to make money online

How opt-in pages are a powerful tool for getting a trusted audience

Opt-in pages are also known as lead capture pages or landing pages. Anyone having a website should clearly know that generating traffic from external sources can truly be automated. And automated traffic can simply mean targeted audience.

A target audience is ideal for your online business

Apart from automation tools like softwares, opt-in pages turn out to be best for email marketing even though they involve a lot of work. The power of an opt-in page is that it helps you to build an audience of trust.

Most of the organic traffic that you get to your website is often non targeted because it could come from any source. It could be Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Google or bring. Wherever you receive it from, keep it in mind that it may not be a right audience.

How do you find the right audience though?

A right audience is when you have a list of people follow your service or subscribe to your service.

Depending on the type of business you are running, it is quite noted that a landing page is a tool to drive people who are interested in your business. People who have committed themselves to your website as you promise them something good when they subscribe. These kind of traffic is the most trusted because you know exactly who to reach out to.

If you are running an affiliate marketing business, you will hardly make a sale on any of your affiliate programes. That is because you do not have a good audience. A opt-in page is the only tool to help you build up your email list for affiliate marketing.

It should be noted that a blog is not a good traffic source. If you have a blog, your fellow bloggers can never be your audience. This is because their blogs are built on different ideas which may not similar to yours. You may chance to attract some of your fellow bloggers but not as many. That is why it is so important to consider building an email list for whatever type of business you run.

Your subscribers list is ideal and is present because you used an opt-in page(s) to filter out the wrong audience and retained the right ones. That’s is the power of a landing page.

Free offers are very vital and without them, your opt-in pages are dead.

Everyone loves free offers and this is the idea behind opt-in pages. Free offers help to convince a page’s visitors and they will subscribe to your list because they want to get that free offer.

Think of that one thing which is so connected to your business that you can offer for no cost. It can be a downloadable file which will be delivered after one signs up to your list. You could also provide a service as a free offer to make people subscribe? Now, a landing page does not truly work alone. It works with a set of other pages to complete a subscription process which I will I am yet to tell you below.

Do you want to apply those very techniques as stated above?

If yes, below is a recap of what I have just said. A summary of what to do to build up a trusted audience that will give you high quality organic traffic. Whether you are running an affiliate marketing website, a freelance website, an agency website or a only be store, you need a landing page to find your audience. Here is what you will do.

Steps

  1. Create a landing page/opt-in page/ lead capture page with a nice call to action button. This will be the page to welcome visitors to your sites services.
  2. Set up an auto-responder for your subscribers. The responder is meant to send automated emails to people who subscribe to your list or service.
  3. Create a bridge/squeeze page whose purpose is to encourage a person to head over to the thank you page complete the subscription process.
  4. Create a thank you page to appreciate them for subscribing.
  5. Integrate your pages to ensure a continuous flow from page to page up to the thank you page which is the very last part of it.

You are now ready to launch your first campaign. Get your landing page discovered by advertising it. It will be shown to the people of your target who then subscribe willingly.

To get started, you can build all these pages using mailchip

How to generate Facebook traffic with the audience tool kit- simple social tool’s re

Facebook is a better place to drive traffic. The fact that it is the third largest and popularly used platform after Google and YouTube, make it a better place because 70% of the Facebook community comes from Africa.

This can be a target audience if one considers using their Facebook accounts to send people to a website or a channel.

It is not a simple job to drive Facebook traffic due to some reasons as of the restrictions set along with Facebook privacy policies. Never mind about that anyway because I am here to tell you how to deal with it.

I will be telling you how to go about it at the end of this post. Facebook does not work comfortably when its community members use or share links within their own profiles or to a friend’s timeline, a group or page.

When one does that, it is seen as an insecure form of communication. So, because that, it is ideally very difficult to share information from an external website including YouTube, to a friend or group of friends. Do you know why this is?

As soon as you share a link to Facebook, the Facebook algorithm will limit the number of people who see your post.

This will directly affect your post engagement and if you share misleading information, your engagement will soon drop and you can easily see zero likes every time you make a post. And that is a more discouraging factor.

The people who use Facebook are 70% of youth who have nothing to do in there except to watch, read and view images. These are the category of people to be targeted for traffic.

How to deal with Facebook traffic

The best way to win Facebook traffic is by automating it. If you do that, everything is a walkover. Did you know that you could build an audience of over 30,000 friends on Facebook? Ask me how.

Well, we all know that having a personal Facebook account allows only 5000 friends and when you reach that limit, you can not approve more friendly requests for that account.

That is one of the privacy policies which Facebook introduced to protect its users from scam. You can breakthrough that limit and add more friends than you know to your account or target friends of friends. There is no penalty if you do this.

So, how do you get to this? Use the audience tool kit- Simple Social Tools software. You gotta traffic for your site or channel.

Affiliate marketing tips from best affiliates.

Hey, Marketer! Still, stranded with your affiliate niche? Here are some extra tips to consider.

25 Affiliate Best Practices

1.    Always be selective when choosing products to promote. Products need to be relevant to your audience and high quality. The business needs to be honest and trustworthy. Remember, this is your reputation on the line.

2.    When promoting products, don’t focus on the price of the product but the benefits buyers will receive. If there is a unique offer or discount price, that’s a bonus.

3.    Ask your audience for feedback. Ask what they are struggling with. Ask how they like what you are emailing and writing about. Ask if they purchased a product through your recommendation, how they are linking it or what results they are seeing. Showing you care helps build strong bonds with your audience.

4.    When promoting affiliate links, ensure your posts or emails offer plenty of value. It should be able to stand alone, whether or not you include a promotion.

5.    Don’t promote without a plan. Start with the goal of your campaign, then search for right product to promote. Randomly promoting products can lead to low commissions and worse, broken trust with your audience.

6.    Don’t sell or include affiliate links in every email you send. Subscribers get tired of being bombarded with offer after offer. Send some messages that just talk about what you’re doing or offer a tip or two without any type of promotion.

7.    Spend time building relationships with your subscribers. People who feel connected with you are more likely to trust your word and buy based on your recommendations.

8.    Look for programs that offer a good commission, 25% or better if possible for example, Jvzoo. Those offering low commissions may not generate enough commission for your effort.

9.    When searching for products or services to promote, see what the movers and shakers in your niche are promoting. Industry leaders often vet the companies they promote quite well before recommending them.

10. Track your opens, clicks and buy statistics to see which product sell well, which types of promotional material generate the most sales, which headlines get the most opens and so forth.

11. Look for businesses who offer affiliates pre-made content to help you promote their products. You can often find emails, images blog posts, list of benefits, sales angle suggestions and more from companies.

12. If products from a particular company is popular with your audience, but the company’s affiliate center is lacking, contact them to see if they could provide you with some pre-written material.

13. Ask your audience what their favorite companies, products or types of products are. Ask what they look for when buying products. This will give you an idea of which features you need to look for when searching for products to promote.

14. Make sure you reach the maximum number of people possible by ensuring your website and emails are optimized for mobile devices. If your audience cannot read your messages, they cannot buy.

15. Take time to learn about what makes great headlines, lead-ins and call-to-actions. Better headlines lead to more opens. Better lead-ins get people reading and better call-to-actions generate more sales.

16.  If you’re doing a big promotion, and including bonus items, create a custom landing page for the offer. On this page, include details of what people get not only from the product you are promoting, but your bonuses as well.

An example of a product offer that can be downloaded after someone signs up on you your list.

17. Make use of all types of content to promote the products. Some people prefer reading, others would rather watch a video, some may prefer to hear from you live. The more ways you reach out to your audience, the more sales you’ll make.

18. If you don’t already have one, choose a reputable email service. There’s nothing more frustrating than spending days creating a great email campaign only to have a big portion of your messages get blocked or filtered.

19. Make sure your website and lead magnets are up to par and offer excellent information. The bigger you grow your list, the more exposure you get for your recommendations.

20.  Segment your list so you can better match product offers to subscribers. The closer the match, the bigger the sales.

21. Test higher priced products with low-to-mid-range products to see, on average, how much your audience is willing to spend.

22. Don’t forget to promote complimentary products. For example, if you promote a training course on losing weight. The next week or so, you could promote a more specific product that compliments weight loss.

Weight loss is one product category that has got more and more traffic compared to all the others in the market. of

23. When promoting a special offer, mention any upsells available. This gives your audience a heads up that they will be presented with more than one offer. …but do so in an excited way.

24. Ask companies if you can use their product photos in your promotions for the product. They will usually allow it and may also let you pull a few points from their sales pages to use in your promotions.

25. Regularly check your affiliate links to make sure they are still working.

Awesome Blogger Award

Awesome Blogger Award

I was nominated for the Awesome Blogger Award by The Freethinker, an awesome blogger at ‘The truth‘-Bridging the gap between mere existence and true life. I recommend you visit her blog and learn about the truth.

The rules

  • Thank the person who nominated you.
  • Tag the post with #awesomebloggeraward.
  • Answer the questions you were asked.
  • Nominate at least five bloggers and inform them of their nomination.
  • Give them ten new questions to answer.

Questions by The Freethinker

1. What is your favourite book.

My favourite books is; “Things fall apart” by Chinua Achebe.

2. Why do you blog?

The desire to inspire, share ideas, be able to learn from each other thus, spreading the knowledge and wanting to earn from online is why I blog.

3. What is your view about life?

Personally, life is a journey that we make it. It is not an easy journey but you have got to adopt different styles of living on this Earth. If COVI-19 comes wanting to complete your life, you try to prevent it. So is done to other life takers too but when the creater decides, he can really complete it for good. So, life is too short while we are on Earth.

There is only one thing I have seen that can make life simple and that is; being social. You need to have people around you. People who can help you when I’m trouble and you also help them when they are in need. This explains why I am a blogger. Because I needed to have as many people as possible, whom I can socialise with.

4. Has blogging helped you in any way?

Oh! Yes. Blogging has really helped me to achieve my dream. Before I got into blogging, I always wondered what kind of business I could do online that would profit me so easily. When I ventured in to the project, , I found a lot of good things about it more so, I was able to monetize it as fresh as it was.

5. What makes you feel accomplished?

emphasis on link building as one of major aspects of SEO.

In this post, my emphasis are on using headers to improve page quality for SEO.

Top five questions from Debby Winter

2) Do you believe SEO is overrated? Why?

3) What is the worse SEO related error you have ever made? What happened?

4) What are some of the best SEO results you have obtained over the years?

5) If you were to start a new business right now, would you choose SEO or another business? In case you answered another business what would you do instead? Why?

Top five answers

1) I don’t run an SEO business but I write about it sometimes. The need to creat awareness makes me to do this though it is a little different from my main blog topic.

2) Yes, I do believe that SEO is overrated reason being; it is the cheapest way to drive traffic. When optimized correctly, it works automatically even when one is asleep. So, you can make money without having to do anything on your site.

3) The very first SEO error I have ever made is publishing thin content. That made me lose more than 50 followers within one week but I had put it right as soon as I noticed. It is a bad habit to post the same content within your website pages.

My questions

How to earn through referral marketing

Making money online seems to be so easy as most businesses also seem to be on the lookout for marketers all over the globe. Earning from referral marketing is by far the hardest of all but if know how to convince more people, you can make.

Marketing goes hand in hand with vocalism. If you don’t have a sweet language approach, it may affect your efforts negatively and will hard to refer people to a product, service or to a website you are marketing.

How do referral marketers make money?

First, we want to know what referral marketers are. These are people or agencies which play a role in sending new customers to a business/ website and get rewarded every month, with a given percentage of whatever their referral spends on a website.

Your referrals can be friends or family members.

Most websites, especially niches run referral programs and the money which they pay to their marketers is not the same. As a referral marketer, you are paid an according to how many people you have on your referral list and how much they spend, invest or earn.

One good thing about this type of marketing is, once you have got a referral, your earnings are for a lifetime as long as that person remains a member or subscribe to the website.

Referral marketing is almost the same as affiliate marketing but they are not though they involve the same procedures of marketing.

What makes the two different is; with affiliate marketing, it is a broking kind of thing. So, you who’s is an affiliate will be a broker between a buyer and the seller of a product or service. Referral marketing, on the other hand, is all about making a strong relationship between a marketer and client.

How huge is your referral list ?

To be able to build a large list of referrals, you need to use more social platforms to increase your reach. Also, create videos were necessary to teach people and easily make them believe you.

There you go, thank you for reading and I hope this has helped you.

Earning Money as an Internet Marketing Affiliate

Earning money is always enjoyable. Especially when it’s all yours to keep. Nothing says thank you for a job well done than 100% of the earnings going to you. When you have a regular job with a company and a boss then you are paid for your time. And actually, you’re probably earning a lot less than your actual worth. Think of it, if you earned your actual worth then the company wouldn’t make a profit.

Time is the most undervalued resource there is. You can give your time to a company, or you can use your time for yourself. This is what earning money as an affiliate marketer essentially is. Utilizing your time to earn the best way that you can. All the money you earn will be yours, rather…

Writing tips for SEO

What to consider when writing for search engine optimization.

Anyone looking to get more visitors and views on a website must know more about SEO. And this SEO(Search Engine Optimization) has got multiple methods of approaching it.

In this post, we want to optimize a website through quality content. What concepts do you use when writing on your blog feed and pages? Well, I will show you how to write for SEO.

How to write for SEO on websites.

Search engines look at quality content when ranking pages but you need to rank your whole website. How can you do that? Just follow these tips.

  • Sentence Length.
  • Choice of words.
  • Paragraph Lenght.
  • Passive voice.
  • Consecutive sentences.
  • Transition words.
  • Subheading distribution.

Sentence Lenght

Some times, writing gets exiting. During that time, even the sentences you write tend to get longer. The one thing you need to know is sentences have got to be short with approximately fifteen words maximum. Keep them short and meaningful.

Choice of words

The choice of words used in your sentences matters somehow in a way that when simple words are used, you will improve readability on your website. You have to use simple but strong words.

Paragraph Length

Just like any other forms of writing, your blog content should be presented in short paragraphs. This will help search engines to easily identify keywords in each paragraph. The length of each paragraph is five to six sentences.

Passive voice

The passive voice has to be maintained to 10%. Try to use sentences which are less passive. This helps to make the written texts appear intonational thus improving. understanding.

Consecutive sentences

Write sentences consecutively to layout content perfectly and make it attracting. Some times, you need to use a variety of sentences for example sentences with; question marks, full stops, exclamation marks, semicolons and full colons.

Transition words

Transition words help to change from one topic to another in between paragraphs. Create an overflow of your content by applying more transitional words. Enable your readers to better understand what you write.

Subheading distribution

Lastly, working upon subheadings is ideal. In a post like this one, subheadings would be most preferably ranked by search engines because that’s what they look at first before crawling the inner content. Always consider writing with subheadings where necessary, following the order of header arrangement.

Let’s talk about link building for SEO.

What No One Tells You About Broken Links- written by Debby Winter.

Quality links for SEO

Have you ever clicked a link just to find a broken page? Or maybe you were taken to a page that didn’t quiet provide the information you were looking for? If you are running a blog or website the quality of your links are key to quality per se, and links will also affect organic rankings in the search engines. It will be clear that both links and content are the most important part of SEO, and we want to take extra care of our links because when broken they have a damaging effect.

Links contain the essence of the internet and as such we should treat them with respect.

It is true that links are the very building blocks of the internet. You may not have quiet realized exactly how important a properly labelled link is until you meditate on the concept for some time. If links are labeled the wrong way they have zero value, or worse, they could even do damage. If you are someone who always tries to link the right way than you probably don’t have to worry, but if you know you have links on your site that have as only purpose to inflate the link juice of one page than you might be in trouble. You are probably aware that this is often done for SEO purposes but it can have awful effects.

Are there other linking factors that affect my ranking?

Yes there are. Search engines know that links are the essential connection on which the internet depends in order to be able to provide you with information. If you provide wrong labels, or in other words if you label your links with improper text, than you may be punished for that. At best the search engines will ignore the link text, but if you run a website that keeps adding irrelevant anchor text than it is likely that you will be dropped by the algorithm. When this happens it is likely easiest to start over from scratch and follow Google best practices for SEO.

Where to start if you are unsure about the quality of your links?

For years now I have been using a free software called Xenu Link Sleuth. It can be downloaded for free from the internet and it will serve to generate detailed error reports that will give you in-depth insight on the situation. The program is especially useful if you run online forums that contain user generated content, or if you allow people to post their link in the comment section of your blog. When time goes by some links may expire or become outdated, and this can as such damage your rankings. If you are not sure how to use the problem or how to fix the links you may wish to consult an SEO expert.

Should I include or remove punctuation at the end of a link?

If you are linking to a website URL you always want to remove the punctuation at the end because it may inadvertently be added which will cause an error. Instead of writing “wordpress.org?” you always want to add a pause and write “wordpress.org ?” Remember, to free a website from error is to optimize it for the search engines. Good spelling and good grammar is important, but when it comes to functionality and SEO you sometimes have to make an exemption.

If everything else fails…

Sometimes someone sends you a link and it just doesn’t work. If you can’t figure out how to fix it then your best chance is to Google the link. If there is a spelling error it is at this point that this will be revealed to you. Also, if you have someone write a guest article you always want to check all the links before posting. Make sure to Google part of it to see if it isn’t duplicate content since this is harmful for your site. Never submit the entire article to article checkers as there are some checkers out there that will copy your article and publish it before you can.

Well folks that’s all, I hope you enjoyed this article on broken links and that you learned something new about the inner mechanics of the internet and SEO. Take care and stay home, it’s nice to know that in uncertain times like this people are reaching out to each other here on WordPress. Warm Regards,

Debby Winter
